[ARCHIVED] Dubuque Police Investigate Apparent Stabbing

On May 1st, 2012 at 10:52 p.m., Dubuque Police responded to the report of a stabbing at 1270 Mt. Pleasant Street.

On May 1st, 2012 at 10:52 p.m., Dubuque Police responded to the report of a stabbing at 1270 Mt. Pleasant Street. Upon arrival, the victim was identified as Michael P. Curran 06/02/58 of that address. Curran was suffering from apparent stab wounds to his abdominal area. Curran was transported to Finley Hospital by the Dubuque Fire Department and is being treated for what are believed to be non-life threatening injuries. Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, but have no reason to believe the general public is in danger. More information will be released when available and authorized.
