The Leisure Services Department announces a special event scheduled for Wednesday, June 30th. See below for information.
The Leisure Services Department, along with the DNR, Dubuque County Conservation Society, The Bait Shack and Theisen’s, will be cosponsoring the Kids’ Fishing Clinic and Derby on Saturday, June 30th. The event will be held at Miller Riverview Park on Chaplain Schmitt Memorial Island.
The event is planned for ages 5 through 14. Registration begins at 9:00 a.m., followed by the clinic and derby.
Each participant receives instruction, free literature and assorted fishing equipment, an opportunity to fish for prizes and a chance to receive prizes in drawings. There is no charge to participate in this activity.
