On August 24th, 2012 at 3:58 a.m., Dubuque Police were called to Mercy Hospital to meet with a stabbing victim, identified as Stephen W. Toliver, 26, of 601 Garfield Avenue #201, Dubuque.
On August 24th, 2012 at 3:58 a.m., Dubuque Police were called to Mercy Hospital to meet with a stabbing victim, identified as Stephen W. Toliver, 26, of 601 Garfield Avenue #201, Dubuque. The preliminary investigation indicates Toliver and a female associate were involved in a physical altercation that developed in the 1300 block of Main Street, alley east. During the altercation, the female associate allegedly stabbed Toliver multiple times causing injuries that are not life-threatening. Toliver was transported to Mercy Hospital by private vehicle, where he was treated and released.
The investigation is ongoing and no arrest has been made at this time. Dubuque Police do not believe the general public is in any danger pertaining to this incident. More information will be released when it is available and authorized.
