[ARCHIVED] Warrant Issued for Stabbing Suspect

On Saturday, November 17th, 2012 at 12:48 p.m., Dubuque Police received a report of a stabbing in the area of 21st & Jackson Street.

On Saturday, November 17th, 2012 at 12:48 p.m., Dubuque Police received a report of a stabbing in the area of 21st & Jackson Street. Officers also responded to Finley Hospital where the stabbing victim, Kayla R. Stoddard, DOB: 02/23/85, of Dubuque, was being treated for multiple injuries consistent with being stabbed. The injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and Stoddard has since left the hospital. The investigation led to Ashley A. Kaufmann, DOB: 06/28/88 of 1154 ½ White Street, being developed as a suspect. A warrant charging Willful Injury has been issued for Kaufmann (bond $50,000). Willful Injury is a Class D Felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a fine between $750 and $7,500.
