On November 5th, 2013, Dubuque Police received a report of an alleged abduction and assault the victim claimed happened on or about October 23rd, 2013. The victim, a student at Clarke University, specifically claimed she was taken against her will from the Clarke campus to an off-campus location and assaulted. Following several initial interviews, the analysis of evidence, and a follow-up interview today with the alleged victim, investigators determined the report to be false. As previously determined and communicated by Dubuque Police, the general public was never in any danger. Despite the above developments, this investigation remains ongoing and the identities of those involved will remain undisclosed at this time.
