[ARCHIVED] Arrest Made In IHOP Robbery Investigation

On March 17th, 2015, at approximately 4:45 p.m. in the 1200 block of Nowata Street, Dubuque Police arrested Martinez A. Brimmer, 24, (no permanent address), for his alleged involvement in the IHOP (1785 JFK Rd.) robbery on July 16th, 2014.

Brimmer is charged with Robbery 1st Degree, a class B felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison. He was also found in possession of Crack Cocaine and charged with Possession With Intent To Deliver, a class C felony punishable by a fine between $1,000 and $10,000, and up to 10 years in prison. He is being held in the Dubuque County Jail on $100,000 bond.

The IHOP Robbery investigation remains ongoing as Dubuque Police are confident other individuals were involved. Additional charges are possible and anyone with information is asked to contact Corporal Brendan Welsh (563-589-4430) or Captain Scott Engleman (563-589-4467) of the Criminal Investigation Division.

As with any criminal case, the charges filed are allegations and any suspects are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
