On Wednesday, May 27th, 2015, The LIFE Group education partners and Lincoln School Principal, Donna Loewen Ph.D., presented School Resource Officer (SRO), Corporal Justin Stair, with the Crystal Apple Award.
The award is presented in appreciation for educational excellence. Lincoln School has been giving the award each trimester since the 2007-08 school year.
Corporal Stair is in his 16th year of service with the Dubuque Police Department, most recently in the SRO/Juvenile Liaison capacity (since 2013). He is responsible for the thirteen elementary schools in the Dubuque Community School District and the additional elementary schools in the Holy Family System. Corporal Stair was described by Principal Loewen as being caring about kids and believing in their potential for success, while representing all that is best in his organization. She further thanked him for helping students understand the role of respectful, responsible and safe behavior choices so that our schools and community will be healthy and strong.
The Dubuque Police Department appreciates the support of Lincoln School personnel and The LIFE Group, and joins both in congratulating and thanking Corporal Stair for his exceptional service.
