[ARCHIVED] Dubuque Police Hosting 6th Annual "National Night Out"

Interested in attending a free, fun, family-friendly community event?

The Dubuque Police Department is joining forces with Target, the Dubuque Multicultural Family Center, Dubuque Leisure Services, area Neighborhood Associations, and numerous other crime prevention & community advocates to bring National Night Out (NNO) to our city for the 6th consecutive year. NNO is an annual, nationwide, crime prevention event that promotes police-community partnerships, safety and neighborhood unity. This is the 32nd anniversary for NNO, with an estimated 38 million people in over 16,000 communities nationwide participating.

Join us at Comiskey Park (24th / 25th & Jackson / Washington St.) on Tuesday, August 4th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. for this entirely free event that includes food, beverages, music, games, a bounce-house/slide and gifts for the kids. Police and Fire Department vehicles will also be on display, as will Brandon Prine’s 1997 Ford Mustang Dragster (sponsored by the Dubuque Police Protective Association). At dusk (approximately 8:30 p.m.), the movie “Frozen” will be shown at the park next to the community center.

Help build a safer, stronger community by attending National Night Out. For more information, call Lt. Scott Baxter at the number listed above or via email: sbaxter@cityofdubuque.org.
