On June 10th, 2016, 213 law enforcement officers graduated from the FBI National Academy Program in Quantico, Virginia. Among them was Dubuque Police Department Captain Jeremy Jensen.
Capt. Jensen, a 22 year DPD veteran, was among graduates from 47 states, the District of Columbia, 21 international countries, 4 military organizations, and 8 federal civilian organizations.
Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program, held at the FBI Academy, offers 10 weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies. On average, these officers have nearly 20 years of law enforcement experience and usually return to their agencies to serve in executive-level positions.
A total of 49,234 graduates now represent the alumni of the FBI National Academy since it began in 1935. The Dubuque Police Department is honored and proud to have 2 current members among them (Chief Mark Dalsing preceded Captain Jensen in attending & graduating).
