DUBUQUE, IOWA – A plugged sanitary sewer manhole at the intersection of Hill Street and Caledonia Place caused untreated wastewater to flow into the street.
The City of Dubuque Public Works Department was notified by the public at 2:00 p.m. today of an overflowing sanitary sewer manhole. Crews were dispatched to the location and the manhole blockage removed by 2:30 p.m.
The Iowa Department of Natural Resources cautions people to keep their children and pets away from the noted area, which is posted, for forty-eight (48) hours.
