Leisure Services attempts to provide activities for mentally/physically challenged members of the community. Recreational experiences may include physical/social/creative activities, as well as, special events designed specifically for this population.
In addition, the Leisure Services Department encourages all community members that may have a disability to participate in programs, and all attempts shall be made to accommodate the individual.
If you are interested in registering for any of our programs, you may register online at www.cityofdubuque.org/recreation. (NOTE: A small convenience fee is charged by the hosting company. Unified Volleyball League on Tuesdays between the dates of October 25th and November 29th.
Fall / Winter Cooking Series on December 7th. (NOTE: The Cooking Series for Wednesday, November 2nd has been canceled. A pizza party will take place instead of the cooking class at the Hy-Vee, South Locust Street location. On Tuesday, November 1st, all participants have been notified of the change by telephone.)
Winter Wonderland Dance on Thursday, December 8th.
Winter Special Olympics on January 9th, 10th and 11th, 2017. For more information, contact the Iowa Special Olympics at http://soiowa.org.
Adapted Sports Open Gym programs TBA. Updates to our programs will be listed on the website at www.cityofdubuque.org/recreation.
