[ARCHIVED] Suspicious Person/Vehicle

On July 20th, 2010 at approximately 6:30 PM, a suspicious vehicle was reportedly following a 13 year old female in the area of North Grandview Avenue & Bennett Street.

The vehicle is described as an older model green 4-door bearing Dubuque County/Iowa license plate, possibly with the number 2 and/or the letter “I” on the plate. The driver of the vehicle is described as a white male in his late 50’s to early 60’s, approximately 5’10”, thin build, with receding gray curly hair, wearing light blue jeans and a light colored t-shirt. The driver parked the vehicle in the 400 block of North Grandview and started to approach the female while yelling at her in an apparent effort to get her to come to him. The female was able to run into a church and notify an adult who in turn reported the incident to police. The vehicle and male subject were gone when the adult exited the church to investigate and neither have been relocated.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Dubuque Police Department at 563-589-4415 or 563-589-4425.
