[ARCHIVED] "Submit a Tip" Feature Added to Police Department's Website

The Dubuque Police Department, along with Kelli Buchenau, Communications Assistant for the City Manager’s Office, announce a new “Submit a Tip” feature on the police department’s web page (www.cityofdubuque.org/police).

The feature allows citizens to electronically provide police with information regarding ongoing investigations, recent crime, ongoing criminal/suspicious activity and any other information that does not require an immediate police response. Citizens are reminded to promptly report active criminal/suspicious behavior to police by either calling 911 in an emergency situation, or at 563-589-4415 if the situation is deemed non-emergency. Initially, this new feature will not usually be monitored after 5:00 PM on weekdays or on the weekends. The “Submit a Tip” form can also be completed online, printed and mailed to the police department if the user prefers. Users have the option of remaining completely or partially anonymous.

As always, the Dubuque Police Department welcomes and is appreciative of the public’s assistance in keeping our community safe.
