On January 8th, 2012, at approximately 4:49 a.m., Dubuque Police responded to 2417 White Street on the report of a stabbing.
On January 8th, 2012, at approximately 4:49 a.m., Dubuque Police responded to 2417 White Street on the report of a stabbing. The victim was identified as Travis L. Dauber, 23, of 2301 Windsor Avenue, Dubuque, Iowa. He was transported by the Dubuque Fire Department to Mercy Hospital where he remains a patient.
The suspect was identified as John K. Cox, 26, of 2412 Washington Street. Cox was located at his residence and arrested. He is currently in the Dubuque County Jail charged with Attempted Murder. The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released when available.
As with any criminal case, the charges filed are allegations and any suspect(s) charged are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
