[ARCHIVED] Robbery Suspect in Custody

On June 19th, 2012 at 10:55 p.m., Dubuque Police responded to an armed robbery at Domino’s Pizza, 2013 Central Avenue in Dubuque. A lone suspect entered the business and demanded money while in possession of a handgun.

On June 19th, 2012 at 10:55 p.m., Dubuque Police responded to an armed robbery at Domino’s Pizza, 2013 Central Avenue in Dubuque. A lone suspect entered the business and demanded money while in possession of a handgun. No one was injured and the suspect fled prior to police arriving. The investigation led officers to 2002 White Street where contact was made with Jacoby P. Garrett, DOB: 08/29/86, of that address. Garrett was developed as a suspect and interviewed by investigators. The residence and surrounding area were secured and a search warrant executed. Based on information and evidence obtained during the investigation, Garrett was arrested and charged with robbery.

Garrett is currently being held in the Dubuque County Jail on a charge of Robbery 1st Degree, a Class B Felony punishable by up to 25 years in prison. His bond was set at $50,000 cash.

As with any criminal case, the charges filed are allegations and any suspect(s) charged are presumed innocent until convicted in a court of law.
