The Leisure Services Department has job applications available for after-school flag football, volleyball, basketball and/or track coaching positions. Please see below for further information on our after-school sports programs.
The Leisure Services Department provides an after-school sports program to fourth and fifth grade students conducted at a number of Dubuque public elementary schools.
FLAG FOOTBALL will be held Monday through Thursday beginning late September. THIS INTRAMURAL PROGRAM WILL MEET FOR NINETY MINUTES, FOLLOWING SCHOOL DISMISSAL, and will emphasize learning football fundamentals, team concepts, sportsmanship, participation, improved health/fitness and fun.
VOLLEYBALL will be held Monday through Thursday beginning the week of October 8th. THIS INTRAMURAL PROGRAM WILL MEET FOR NINETY MINUTES, FOLLOWING SCHOOL DISMISSAL, and will emphasize learning volleyball fundamentals, team concepts, sportsmanship, participation, improved health/fitness and fun.
Fliers will be distributed to the Dubuque Community School District's fourth and fifth grade students and will also be available in the Recreation Division office. You must register using one of the appropriate fliers; entry fee is $15 per sport. PLEASE NOTE THAT BASKETBALL FLIERS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE IN JANUARY/FEBRUARY and TRACK FLIERS WILL BECOME AVAILABLE IN MARCH.
