The City of Dubuque does offer winter collection of yard waste and food scraps by appointment for their customers on Thursdays starting on Dec. 4. Residents needing winter collection must schedule an appointment by either calling the Public Works Department at 563-589-4250 or submitting a “Winter Yard Waste/Food Scraps Collection Appointment” service request through the City’s website at www.cityofdubuque.org. Yellow yard waste stickers or annual yard waste decals are required for these winter collections.
Residents can also subscribe to weekly food scrap collection during the winter season for a monthly fee of $5.20 by contacting the Public Works Department at 563-589-4250 or publicworks@cityofdubuque.org.
