City Yard Waste and Food Scraps Collection Winter Schedule Begins Dec. 6
DUBUQUE, Iowa — The regular weekly schedule for curbside collection of yard debris and food scraps for City of Dubuque customers will end on Friday, Nov. 30.
From Dec. 6, 2012 through March 28, 2013, appointments must be made to have yard debris and food scraps collected. Collections will be on Thursdays only, and appointments must be made no later than 3 p.m. on Wednesdays for next-day collection. Customers can schedule a collection by calling the Public Works Department at 589-4250 or by submitting a service request online at www.cityofdubuque.org/yardwaste. Current, annual yard waste decals or yellow single-use yard waste stickers are required.
The City will provide a Merry Mulch collection of natural Christmas trees, food scraps and yard debris for two weeks beginning on Monday, Jan. 7, 2013, and ending Friday, Jan. 18, 2013. Trees must be free of decorations and have an attached City brush-tie or yellow yard waste sticker.
