Dubuque Residents Asked to Dig Out Fire Hydrants

DUBUQUE, Iowa – The Dubuque Fire Department is asking residents to remove snow from fire hydrants located near their homes and businesses.
 
"In order to prevent unneeded delays during a fire emergency, we need residents to assist us in making sure all hydrants are accessible throughout the winter," said Dubuque Fire Chief Dan Brown.  "Seconds count in an emergency and we greatly appreciate any assistance the public can provide us with this important issue."
