A repair project will require closure of the Third Street overpass, between Main Street and Bell Street from Monday, Oct. 10, through Friday, Oct. 14.
The Iowa Department of Transportation will conduct a bridge expansion-joint repair on both the travel and sidewalk portions of the overpass. The sidewalk on the Third Street overpass will also be closed during this time.
The detour for this project has eastbound traffic diverting to Main Street, then to Fifth Street, and then Bell Street. Conversely, westbound traffic will go from Bell Street to Fifth Street, to Main Street. A map of the detour is available at www.cityofdubuque.org/detours.
