Road grading work for the future Southwest Arterial along U.S. 20 in Dubuque will require temporarily closing both east- and westbound U.S. 20 to traffic for approximately 20 minutes beginning at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, March 14, weather permitting. U.S. 20 will be closed from the intersection with Stone Valley Drive to the intersection with the Menards store entrance to facilitate rock excavation by blasting. Due to the short duration of the closure, no official detour route will be posted and traffic will be allowed to resume as soon as it is safe to do so.
