Due to the Canadian Pacific Kansas City Holiday Train, Hawthorne St. at the railroad crossing between Rhomberg Ave. and Garfield Ave. will be closed starting at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 24.
This event will require multiple street closures and adjustments to normal traffic and parking in the area of the Hawthorne St. rail crossing:
- Hawthorne St. will be closed between Lincoln Ave. and Rhomberg Ave., and between Rhomberg Ave. and Kerper Blvd. The closures will be in place beginning at approximately 6 p.m.
- Two-way traffic will be maintained on Lincoln Ave., Rhomberg Ave., and Kerper Blvd.
- There will be no parking on either side of Hawthorne St. between Rhomberg Ave. and Kerper Blvd. beginning at 5 p.m. until approximately 11 p.m.
- Parking on the east side of Rhomberg Ave. between Hawthorne St. and Lincoln Ave. will be prohibited beginning at 5 p.m. until approximately 11 p.m.
Motorists will need to follow the posted detour and/or use a different route during this time. View a map of current closures/detours.
