Flooding from the Mississippi River has forced the closure of a portion of Volunteer Dr. near Lincoln Ave.
The closure prevents access to Volunteer Dr. north of Lincoln Ave., including Lock and Dam 11 and parking areas. This closure will remain in effect until further notice and the river recedes.
The public is reminded to be cautious around the river and floodwall and to avoid flooded areas and follow all traffic detours. For more information about this road closure, please contact the City of Dubuque Public Works Department at 563-589-4250
