The Planning Services Department provides professional community planning services to the Long Range Planning Advisory Commission for:
- Community Visioning
- Comprehensive Plan
- Special planning studies
- Urban Revitalization Districts
- Urban Renewal Districts
- Capital Improvement Program Input
Planning Services works with “people, planning and partnerships” to create a more livable community and plan for a better future.
Major city planning collaborations include: sustainability, annexation analysis, riverfront planning and development, comprehensive plan update, and downtown and neighborhood revitalization.
Regional planning includes: planning and zoning, public health, watershed management, parks and cultural resources, and bike/hike trail planning.
