Louis Murphy Park

Murphy Park is an 80 park with plenty of multipurpose green space.

Louis Murphy Park is an 80-acre park that overlooks the southern section of Dubuque and the Mississippi River. This park is located at 1700 South Grandview and includes:

  • Three pavilion picnic shelters
  • Picnic tables (Per City Ordinance, picnic tables may not be moved.)
  • Barbecue grills
  • Playground equipment
  • Restroom facilities
  • Tennis courts
  • Horseshoe courts
  • Multipurpose green space

Park Hours

First Saturday in May to the fourth Sunday in October.
Sunday - Thursday: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday - Saturday: 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Handicapped accessible, 15 amp electrical outlets, barbecue grill. Located near restrooms and playground equipment. Last pavilion in the park.


Open Air Pavilion

Seating: 116 People

Price: $127

Handicapped accessible, 15 amp electrical outlets, barbecue grill. Restrooms located across the road. First pavilion on the right in the park.


Fuhrman Enclosed Pavilion

Seating: 32 People

Price: $42

Handicapped accessible, 15 amp electrical outlets, barbecue grill. Located next to restrooms and playground equipment. First pavilion on the left in the park.
