Bergfeld Recreation Area Pond

The John G. Bergfeld Recreation Area is a 30 acre park located in the Dubuque Industrial Park West, 7600 Chavenelle Road. This family and pet-friendly park includes:

  • Pavilion picnic shelter
  • Fishing pond with two fishing jetties
  • Playground equipment
  • Restroom facilities
  • 0.8 mile walking trail around the pond
  • 1.9 mile walking trail leading from Bergfeld to Pennsylvania Avenue

Park Hours

First Saturday in May to the fourth Sunday in October
Sunday - Saturday: 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Reserve the Bergfeld Pavilion

Seats 20 people. The pavilion is handicapped accessible, includes 15 amp electricity, one fireplace, and picnic tables.
